    Lovely gin tasting afternoon
What a find! We had an amazing tour of Justine’s distillery set amongst her beautiful farm with amazing views. Her knowledge of the gin making process was impressive and it was great seeing all the botanics drying and hearing how they are all sourced locally. The best bit of course was the tasting!! 2 delicious gins which are now sitting on my shelf at home!
Hello Jo, aww thank you so much for your lovely comments. It is always such a delight to show people what I get up to inside my very small distillery.. its particularly fun when I have botanicals hanging from every hook that we have to duck under too!! I hope you are enjoying the gins and finding fabulous mixers to enhance the flavours even more. I hope to see you back again when you holiday back in NZ.. and whop knows if there will be another blend on the shelf!! xx

Kaikoura, nz - best gin tour ever!
What a fantastic local experience. Called up and made a time to visit Justine's little distillery. Stunning setting on the slopes of Mt Fyffe looking out to sea. Loved Justines passion and knowledge and learnt so much as well and really enjoyed her gins. A great focus on sustainability and giving back. Definitely a must thing to do in Kaikoura!
Hello Colette, thank you so much for your lovely comments, I so enjoy chatting about all things gin and especially what I am doing in my tiny wee distillery. Love the pics you took.... will remember to keep eyes open next time! Thank you again and I hope you enjoy the gins xx

What a great visit. We love gin - and it’s clear from her passion that Justine does too! What we missed is that visits should be by appointment only - only so you know that Justine is going to be there. We turned up without warning and were welcomed with open arms but to save a wasted journey I’d advise calling ahead. As I say Justine is passionate about her gin and the botanicals she uses in them - many / most of which she collects herself. When we visited it was elderflower season so Justine had plenty hanging from driers - the “distillery” smelt wonderful. The distillery is really a woodshed so small and very compact - which made it easy to interact with Justine. She took us through the background and reasons for both of her gins and of course we tried them, delicious. We did buy some but there was no pressure to. Another group turned up during our visit - again no problem for Justine - and some of those didn’t buy which was definitely not a problem. The gin is fantastic - and as told Justine we used it for our Xmas Day martinis over the water in Oz with our family; delicious. Do visit, and though she won’t pressure you I would encourage you to buy some and support her and the local economy she is very much part of -and her product is top quality.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. it really warmed my soul to read how much you enjoyed your visit. I love welcoming visitors into my very small distillery and although we have to navigate the botanicals at times during the year its a great way to show how I forage for, dry and then store them for all round year use. Thank you again, I hope you enjoyed some awesome gin and tonics post visit, until next time xx
