My husband and I did a morning kayak along with 6 other people and our guide - Conner. It was a cloudy day and we didn't see any dolphin, but we had a good time. We kayaked out from Jimmy Armes Beach to Point Kean...More

I would rank this experience in one of the best close contact experiences with animals that I've ever had. We encountered dolphins, seals and a penguin. The dolphins swam right next and under us for a while, which was really awesome. Tyler was our guide...More

It was nice to support the locals after the earthquake. It was a sunny day and we have seen seals, penguins and the famous New Zealand bird. Unfortunately both my girlfriend and I got seasick but the guide was super helpful and towed us back...More

I had a most enjoyable Anzac Day morning kayaking and sightseeing under Tylers friendly and knowledgeable guidance. His professional and often humorous delivery of safety and broad range of environmental information to our multinational group, ensured we all had an unforgetable experience. Many thanks Kaikoura...More

Kudos to Kaikoura Kayaks for closely watching conditions, being flexible and getting our family out on the water. Tyler and Matt are very friendly, knowledgeable, and safety-conscious. You don't have to paddle far to find and watch the seals--and you can't beat being at water-level...More

Beautiful views from the water and fun paddling around swimming seals on a good day was simply awesome! Though we paddled super hard to chase after dolphins a few times and didn't get to see many. We still had a great time altogether.

When is the best time to visit if I want to see Orcas? I've seen some videos of Kayaking around Orcas, esp in NZ. Does your company do that?

Hi there, Orca Whale's are not normally seen that often in Kaikoura or by kayak. If you want to view Whales I would recommend Whale Watch Kaikoura. Our kayak tours focus on Fur Seals and Dusky Dolphins. Thanks for your time.

Hi Chloe, We take out family's all the time in our safe, stable, double user friendly kayaks. Normally an adult or guide is in the back of the kayak so the younger one's don't have to paddle as much. Your guide will also... More
