Only a short walk or drive from town, this is a hidden gem. At night the glow worms are spectacular. Winter is a great time to visit with smaller kids due to the longer nights, you can be there and back well before bed-time!

It was obviously beautiful but you must go at nigh5 and it is hard to navigate through the track, very wet when we went but it is really an amazing sight when you reach the end and see all the glow worms, if staying in...More

The place is just across the road opposite the Shining Star hotel. It's a small enclosure surrounded by trees and bushes. Visit after dark... In fact it should be pitch black. You get to see amazing twinkling tiny blueish lights once your eyes get adjusted...More

While this dell doesn't take long to explore it is still worth making the effort. I chose to go before the sun rose but I am guessing that most people go at night. It was nice to experience the glow worms in a dell location...More

We went in the daylight expecting it to be underground. Big mistake. It turns out a dell is a kind of dead end hill. All above ground so in daylight hours no glow worms to be seen. Go after dark.

You can see them at anytime. It’s in cave so it’s very dark inside
