At Tree Top Walk Way, experience life with the birds high in the ancient Rimu and Kamahi tree canopy. Easy access for all to enjoy along a steel platform 20 metres high and over 450 metres long. Gently sway in harmony with the forest on the Mahinapua Springboard. View the exquisite Lake Mahinapua through the richly diverse forest foliage. Thrill seekers will feel their hearts pump and the adrenalin rush as they climb to the top of Hokitika Tower 40 metres above the forest floor. Be inspired by a sensational vista of the majestic snow capped Southern Alps, Lake Mahinapua and the Tasman Sea.

Then visit the famous Hokitika Gorge and walk across the swing bridge and enjoy this magical place. The vivid turquoise water surrounded by lush native bush, it is well worth a visit and a key photo stop on the West Coast must do list.

We recently cycled the West Coast Wilderness Trail as part of a package deal. As another reviewer has said, Glory Days were the local company who looked after all of the day-to-day logistics for the trip, incl bike hire, pick-ups, drop-offs and luggage transfers. Can highly recommend Glory Days to assist with your trip planning. Run by an incredibly hard-working family, Donna, Scott and Alex made everything so easy. Great service, communication, local knowledge and kindly accommodated our change of plans due to the Covid lockdown announcement. A huge thank you and hopefully catch you for a beer next time we are in Hokitika!

2 x families hired bikes from Glory Days for the 50km circuit from Kawhaka Intake back to Hokitika. Donna arranged everything for us, transferred us to the start of the track and even stopped enroute so we could pick up some lunch for our ever-hungry teenagers! Bikes were great - we hired 7 e-bikes and 3 classic mountain bikes. Have to say those e-bikes were brilliant for going up the hills! We stopped at Kaniere Lake for lunch, which was beautiful. Highly recommend Donna’s Glory Days bike rental. Donna’s communication was excellent and such a lovely lady too. If you’re planning on cycling in Hokitika, book with Donna!

We cycled the West Coast Adventure Trail and Glory Days were the Hokitika-based cycle company that did all the logistics - they transferred us from the TransAlpine train to the start of the trail, organised luggage transfers and shuttles, and provided e-bikes. They were always on time (or early) and really obliging, noting was too much trouble. They provided great advice about places to go and had arranged excellent accommodation to help us make the most of our time on the West Coast. I would highly recommend you booking your West Coast Adventure Trail directly with Glory Days.

Donna was so accomodating for our family and nothing was a hassle. Her daughter greeted us the following day and went through everything we needed to know and her customer service was very impressive. We had a great ride on e-bikes to the Tree Tops. Our 15 yr old boys had a blast through the forest track. Easy ride.
