In middle of intersection - but easy to get to
Apr 2021
Quite impressive and obviously looked after. Worth a closer look and traffic is light enough to be able to walk to it.

INTERESTING TOWN CLOCK WITH FOUR FACES.
Mar 2020
The clock is in the heart of Hokitika on a roundabout with four faces. It is an iconic feature for the community and a memorial.

New Years Eve was pretty quiet this year
Jan 2021
Only about 20 this year around the clock for Auld Lang Syne. Just as well a few pup patrons joined us.

This clock is in the centre of town. Beautiful old clock with lots of character, you can't miss it. I just love these old things

Nice Art Deco feature of Hokitika
Jan 2020
Hokitika has a few Art Deco sights (sites) that are worth seeking out but only if you have plenty of time, as it doesn't really compare with Napier (North Island) which is a must see. The Regent theatre is the main attraction but this clock tower is a very picturesque artefact in its own right.

Always a pleasure to see on every visit to Hokitika. It is the main landmark of the town. You can’t miss it although it is best to drive around it.

An Iconic Feature
Feb 2020
Located in the city center of Hokitika, the Town Clock is an iconic feature of the community. Complete with a see-through archway, a functional clock, and a bell tower with ornate metal trim, this structure is one of the most photographed in the area.

Landmark
Mar 2020
It is the first thing that we noticed when we entered the town. A striking and quite stylish clocktower at a crossroads in the main street. If you visit, you won't miss it.

Beautiful & unique landmark of Hokitika.......
Feb 2020 • Family
Hokitika is a small quiet town near the coast. You could just see the sea & mountains nearby when driving along the outer parts of the town.

It's rather unusual to find such an unique & nostalgic looking clock in the middle of the small roundabout.

Certainly, a beautiful landmark which will be remembered. So far, we had driven pass countless roundabouts in NZ but this is the only unique one.

Lovely Town
Dec 2019 • Couples
Visiting Hokitika and the centre piece of this beautiful town is their clock tower. Always plenty to see and do while here on the coast.
