Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although very expensive entry fee to the aqautic centre compared to all the others we have attended around the country, they had good clean facilities and the kids loved the hydroslides. There was plenty of floaty toys on the pool for the kids and fun water features to explore. It was a wet day an. We were expecting the pool to be over run with people but it wasn't too bad.

This is a really new facility, and a great place to spend a few hours should the weather not be great.
They have a regular lane pool, large kids areas, a spa, sauna, and 2 hydro slides. The slides tend be monitored well. Kids under 8 or 9 are meant to ride the slide with a adult holding them - our 7 year old had no problem riding them on his own.
Our kids always love the water cannons - if they aren't running, just ask one of the life guards and they are normally happily to turn them on for you.

Fantastic place to catch a swim when all is wet and cold outside. Broke my day beautifully. Not as expensive as some pools. Thoroughly recommend the Grey Aquatic Centre.

We were very keen on getting a bit of exercise and the swimming was just what we needed. Did not think there would be a good pool in Greymouth but there was and verey glad we stopped and went in.

If this facility had been open when I lived in Greymouth, maybe I wouldn't have left. While based here for two weeks, we've bought our kids here for swimming, used the spa and done a casual body balance class. I also used the shower facility. Ten out of ten. Only slight grumble is the life guards act like fun police, kids are kids, let them have some fun! (Our swimming pools in Taranaki have lifeguards that let kids take safe risks and extend themselves) .

Thank you for the little indoor play area beside the pool- made for a great alternative to the playground on a wet day in Greymouth when the pool had been done. Great service.

Is the pool closed at the moment and when will they be open again?
Written 22 November 2017
Yes, that is correct. The pool, spa and sauna facilities are closed until March 2018 but the rest of the recreation centre is open,
eg: the gym and basketball stadium.
The change rooms and shower facilities are still available for members and travelers, too.
Come in and try our Les Mills group fitness classes over the summer period.
