About
No visit to the southern hemisphere is complete without a tour of the evening sky. We are fortunate to have our closest neighbouring star, and the nearest galaxy, visible to the unaided eye - if you know where to look. Our Planetarium displays the sky perfectly no matter what the weather is doing outside. We have 5000 stars ready to admire and a wealth of knowledge to show you how to find your direction, perhaps even to read the time using the stars above. And visitors to the Planetarium have the added treat of using our telescopes after the main program if weather conditions allow.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is wow....... $15 an adult children= $7.50 free under 4. This is not weather dependent as it is indoors with the "sky" lit up. comfortable laid back seating. Booking essential. I learned sooo much that when out at night I will know where I am and what celestial body I am looking at. I will now sound quite intelligent.:) We then proceeded out doors and saw the moon it's craters etc and flame like planets I am still buzzing from it. I've been meaning to do this for many many tears so am really pleased I selected a date took the son and grandchildren and a great night.

We had a group of boys from Boys Brigade spend a couple of hours there one Friday night. All enjoyed it.

Really good experience, first an hour of interesting talk about stars, where they are, names, how they move, later to move to the experience, depending on the weather but you can see stars you wouldn’t imagine are out there. The astronomuos made all the experience very interesting!

We were led into a small dark room and sat in the chairs, then the show started. Very interesting things learnt and people knew their stuff.
