Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited several times and always found a book to buy. This place is very cozy and you can spend several hours there. There are two resident cats which adds even more charm for me. Their CDs seems a bit overpriced though.

We always visit this large bookshop.
They have a very expansive inventory.
A good cabinet of rare books, lots and lots of every subject you could think of.
Set aside a couple of hours browsing.
Most books on line so they could narrow your search if needed.
Toilet for customers available and comfortable chairs and couches to take a load off whilst reading.
Reasonable prices.
Can put you on a want list.
Enjoy

Almost forgot how good these sort of book shops can be. But they take time and we never seem to have enough of it. This shop is so worth a long visit. Chatting to the owners you find some really well worth gems. For little money there are some awesome treasures to be found. I quite like the thought that these books can tell their own stories through the notes in them. Where have they been ? A great place to linger . Make time !

they build their own reputations....anyway now to the bookshop...great selection of rather arresting and very fine books, very helpful and friendly suspects....oops i mean staff . i think they should wear uniforms and helmets and greet customers with a customery " Allo allo allo". put it on your radar, you will get demerit points if you don't plod on down and take a visit but beware you are likely to get booked!!!!!.

Very good selection of second hand books of ALL categories. It's a bit like a maze when you go in, but it doesn't take you long to find the right route to the genre you are looking for.

My daughter just lost herself in the books and vowed to go back. Nothing to dislike. They have a great variety of books of both fiction and non-fiction books. They also are very helpful.

We stumbled upon The Piggery (to be fair, it is quite large) during our day exploring Whangarei, and I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive second hand book collection it housed. The Piggery has everything - from romance paperbacks to travel literature and most importantly, a collection of Maori literature that I haven't seen anywhere else. It's not very cheap, but it's worth a little wander about. If you're looking for antique books, I think I saw some of those lying about too.
