The inflatable park keeps the kids entertained for hours and they loved it, have visited about 6 times over the years and the price is creeping up! $50 for a child and $55 for an adult.

I want to review a few things. Firstly the wakeboard station - we paid for a 10 minute time slot and waited patiently for our turn. Before us there was a young girl on who we waited for, for about 20 minutes - and she was also on it long before we started waiting. There seemed to be no structure to the timing. Then my partner got on (finally) and they were adamant it was timed and he got the bare 10 mins. I thought this was totally unfair, especially because it was clear the young girl before us was on it for an extended period (she had not paid for a longer session).

Secondly, the cabin we booked for one night and paid $270 for - is totally overpriced.
The one communal shower you share was cold, their kitchen facilities they advertise are not actually kitchen facilities BUT a marque with a sink and cold running water plus a few picnic tables.

It’s completely run down and they claim it is under construction, however a year ago we stayed in the dome tents and they claimed it was under construction then too. So a year later, things have not changed. I get that it is camping, but for $270 (2 adults and a 6 and 11 year old) we could have booked a motel.

There are also random broken porta loos, unfinished shower blocks and general junk lying around.

Possums are also a problem all over the facility when you stay. They come out at night time and eat your food (put it away).

Combined with the price to get into the park, it’s an expensive stay. I don’t recommend paying for the accomodation.

We had a family day out here in January, the weather was great, and we had a good time.
I was slightly disappointed with the facilities. We arrived when the park opened and got everything we wanted in the first hour. The park got very busy, which meant that you had to wait for everything and the kids sat on the watercourse and wait around for kayaks and paddleboards. The kids got very bored, waiting around to get out on the water. I don't know if it would have been different outside of the school holidays.
The facilities are very basic, only two toilets we found and the areas with shade filled up fast, and there wasn't a lot of space to sit down out of the water. We had planned to stay the entire day but only ended up staying about 3 hours.
If you go, make sure you take everything you need with you and plan to spend some time waiting to play.

The water park is absolutely fantastic: a really bonus compared to the drive and walk in... my children just loved it and want to go back, which we will.
(Look beyond the rubbish, the left over building material, unkept lawns and litter)
We also stayed a night.
Don’t expect any information prior to coming as the webpage doesn’t say a lot... we weren’t aware there wasn’t any kitchen, let alone no power or solar power to the unit. We found it strange that we had a made bed but nothing else. Windows to stunning views were grubby, but the bed was clean and comfortable.
The shared bathroom is a tiny little wooden wardrobe at the top of the hill with shower, toilet and sink, which was just yucky... not ideally to be used by more than 4 people in a day and there were at least 24+ of us there for that night.
We see the vision. It’s going to be (got to be) great. We will be back and recommend for a fun day.

We highly recommend the on lake inflatables but at all costs avoid the Glamping experience!

• Poor Communications

The staff member who 'welcomed' us to our Glamping experience was terse and perfunctory. When asked why we weren't advised the shared kitchen wasn't available, she became dismissive.

• No Drinking Water

After arriving we discovered there is no drinkable water here! A staff member claimed it's stated on the website - it is not. The lake is not drinkable, given the close proximity of full sewage tanks. Being told you have to pay for bottled drinking water seemed to be a money making scam.

• Shame About The Lake

It's a beautiful setting with the man made lake surrounded by farm land. Sadly years of discarded deflated plastic remnants from blow up activities litter the foreshore like a gigantic garbage dump. The lake is choked with invasive oxygen weed and the only life in it is countless eels!

• Glamping Without Glam

The impression given on the website falls short of reality. The Glamping tents shown are double lined with black exteriors and quilted interiors to help retain heat. What we endured was a chilly night under a single layer of white plastic. The curtains shown likewise did not exist.

The ensuite was unfinished without a basin or hot water. Reference is made on the website to hot water but this excludes Glamping tents.

The kitchen advertised was replaced by an old two burner BBQ. Half way through trying to cook a meal we were interrupted by two other groups of Glampers who had been told by staff to also use this BBQ!

We paid top dollar for an upmarket Glamping experience. Trying to prepare food in the dark on a dirty two burner BBQ (with others), sleeping under a thin single plastic covering without water, power or adequate blankets is not Glamping, it's called camping.

The site is run down and neglected with dirty half deflated paddle boards, a stinking full port-a-loo and even road access in a poor and dangerous state.

What is offered is less than what most DOC campsites already have but at a glamping price. All complaints are ignored. Have fun with the eels, just don't stay overnight.

Stayed for x2 nights (x2 Seniors, x2 adults and x2 children)
We were all VERY disappointed in the accommodation.
We stayed in the family cabin which was x4 beds in a row. Cabin looked unfinished, with lots of spiders to keep you company.
No communication regarding that you had to bring your own towels, plates, cutlery, cooking equipment and touches
300m walk to drinking water.
No power to cabin and had to share one toilet/ shower with x25 other people.
Kitchen (there was not one, as only BBQ under tent) was just as bad with only a BBQ, and sink (no hot water for washing up) and no power for even the basic cuppa tea.
For $300 PER night you would expect a glamping experience, what we got was worse than the very basics.
Real shame as the view is amazing and if looked after and fixed it could be amazing.
Do not stay, go for the day and stay somewhere else, complete rip off
Inflatable adventure park was at least fun

The water park was awesome and my boys loved it but the glamping was super disappointing. $250 for a dome with no lights, one dirty shared bathroom (shared between 6 groups of campers), no toilet paper, one bbq for 6 groups to share, no cooking facilities, nothing what so ever supplied. Absolute rip off. The other overnight campers I spoke to were really disappointed also. Such a shame because its an amazing location with so much potential. Wouldn't recommend glamping there. Nothing glamorous about it. A shame there's no warning that you have to bring everything with you on the website. A real let down.

We stayed in one of the domes for glamping and was actually a decent stay as were heard they recently renovated it. However it was extremely cold and the blankets provided were thin and no heater, also no drinking fountains. The view from inside the dome was distorted so couldn't really see much which is a bit disappointing because we got it for the view.

As for the adventure park, extremely disappointed and hella overpriced. The staff were lazy and majority of the activities were closed, so why no discount? we were unable to do the blob and the slide was only open for an hour to which we could only go down once because they only had one double inflatable and one worker with a huge line. Not too mention all equipment was lying everywhere we had to walk to the other side of the lake to retrieve our own kayaks. The inflatable course itself was moldy and black and the water it was in was full of seaweeds and eels. They had a cafe however barista only comes if its busy which is shocking.

Awesome experience! Stayed with 4 14yr olds, 2 7yr olds, 2 lots of parents and a set of grandparents for one night. Sad to see negative reviews of this place, as when you book through website it’s clear what you need to bring - and what is provided is just as described. We were prepared with all the drinking water and food we needed plus brought our Webber, but all 3 dome tents have a bbq so we didn’t really need it. Water park awesome as and they keep adding new things every time we visit which is great to see. And camp ground is getting adding to by the looks. Staff great. No complaints from any of our whanau :)

The Park was really an adventure and everyone loved all the water entertainment.
There is a couple of maintenance spots like replacing handles etc. On the water structures. But kids absolutely loved it.

The bathroom/ changing rooms is really a state of despair and Can really do with a makeover, and a couple of extra shade spots extra would be awesome .. or even renting out umbrellas :)

Went with a big family group. We all had a really good time even the parents that weren’t able to swim. The new course is lots of fun and big enough for a lot of people.
