Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful Art Deco conservatory built in 1940 standing alongside Virginia Lake.
Free admission, there are steps unfortunately no wheelchair access.
Very colourful with ferns, water features and tunnels.
Disappointed to see Christmas decorations still hanging.Looked tacky not to mention out of season.
Outdoors was really relaxing with sculptures and an art garden.

It was okay, not much plant variety, not made for disabled, there were steps everywhere. You could not visit if you were in wheel chair or even on walker or stick would be difficult. Maybe nice in summer. Cafe next door was closed.

A nice place to wonder in from the main garden. You would not want to go through here if there was a bus group or too many people.

Wonderful displays at all time of year - but the Christmas display this year is one of the most magical I have ever seen! Don't miss it. The area outside is idyllic as well, with bird song, comfortable seats, interesting art work and imaginative planting.

Nicely set out and well cared for.
If you are keen on flowers then it is good to visit.
Good cafe nearby and a lake in the adjacent park.

Absolutely amazing. One of the best winter gardens I have visited. There are a great variety of plants and so very colourful. Beautifully laid out too. Very close by is an aviary too. That is worth visiting. Children would love it.

I visited the gardens during January and the colours were brilliant. The gardens have an indoor/outdoor aspect and walking access is very easy with only a few steps to traverse. The plantings have been very well maintained and the gardens are well worth a visit. They are free of cost and there is plenty of free carparking nearby. There is also a great café immediately beside the gardens.

The gardens are always beautiful and worth a visit but they are really great at Christmas time when they are decorated. The gardens are only small so you don't need to spend much time there but if you are visiting the lake, visit them as well and then go and have a chat with the talkative cockatoos in the nearby aviary.

We had a long walk through the gardens which were beautiful. I would love to see the gardens at the height of summer. Well worth a visit.
