In a quiet and nice side street not far away from everything, this gallery just opened when we got there. Friendly staff and beautiful exhibits.

We went in for a few minutes to watch them work but were amazed at how much of an art and a science blowing glass is. The gallery has some lovely blowing glass work and the factory staff were wonderful and welcoming.

New Zealand Glassworks is a dynamic working glass studio and showroom in one location. First there's the hot shop with a street level viewing gallery perched just above the dramatic glass workshop one level down. You can see the glow and feel the atmosphere of...More

We called in this morning on our way past for our weekend coffee. Despite the new glam appearance this place is still as cool as it ever was. Best thing is the working pit with seats above to watch creations being made. Well worth a...More

I found this fascinating watching very clever people make some beautiful pieces. The colours are amazing and the items for sale are gorgeous. It is an experience one would love to have a go at.

Walk in off the street and you are immediately in the midst of glass artists hard at their craft - the hot shop is fascinating, the art of glass blowing entrancing and the finished products in the gallery wonderful. Highly recommended.
