Still developing gardens - a lovely peaceful spot not far from town. It was good that we could drive around to find the sections that interested most.

Absolutely gorgeous setting. The grounds are well maintained and the scenery is picturesque. Family friendly and easy to walk around most areas. Public toilets available around. Great little bush walks. The tui’s fly close to you and are easy to photograph.

A hidden gem, amazing gardens really enjoyed the walking around the gardens and lake. orchid’s were amazing.

Set off in sunshine arrived in rain, even that couldn't spoiled our visit. We ambled around the tracks tree and plant spotting and shelter in the conservatories. Sure came out and we were off again! Love ht settlers home and garden, beautiful. Great little gas...More

Whanganui Bason Botanical Garden's are a little way out of town but well worth the visit any time of year. Even if you are short on time as we were just driving around the garden was spectacular. We saw plants we have never seen before....More

These wonderful gardens seem to be something of a secret but they are very well worth a visit. The various plantings are delightful.

Found this by accident. Beautiful flowers, very relaxing. It would have been nice to see the plants names in the hit houses. A lot of families using the park which was nice to see. Bbq's around the park to use
