We got a lot of good information om the life by the river and this old and fabulous boat. The resturant served cold TUI and the day was perfect!

Fantastic trip with good commentry by Murray. Fabulous boat not very large and will be crowded if the full compliment of 150 goes aboard. Remember it's coal fired so there will be smoke so don't go in your Sunday best! Fine for snacks on board...More

Hi Glad you enjoyed the trip on the Waimarie. Although we are registered for 150 passengers our policy is to keep it to about 100 at the most to ensure it is comfortable to move around.

The Waimarie has a sailing season in the summer time. Our new season begins on the 20th October 2018 through to end of April 2019. The winter months is time for the annual maintenance and maritime NZ compliance. The website... More

A motel neat the river,Riverside Motel is the closest to the Waimarie Centre. If you wish for an upmarket place I suggest The Sienna Motor Lodge, Kingsgate, or Midtown Mtor Inn. These are all in Voctoria Av

Yes but every .passenger needs to have reasonable mobility to get up and down the gang plank and the stairs.
