The was part of a pleasant walk around a nice town on the southern coast of the north island. Free to enter and well worth the visit.

Very interesting construction and fabulous view but a long way up the spiral staircase! Just a shoirt walk from the elevator but you can opark outside

head up to the two towers at the top of Durie Hill [you can go via a walk-in tunnel and elevator] for magnificent views of the city, the river and the sea.

If you are fit enough, climb right to the top for amazing views for 360 degrees. Quite safe, hand rails and good quality steps.

Got through the tunnel, in the old elevator, goes up the hill, and climb up the tower. Had amazing views from up there, Worth the trip on the weekend gateway with family.
