Most of the attraction is a walk through native bush to see a water fall, have walked through more native bush to see more spectacular water falls for no charge. There ware several other gardens don't know if it was worth its cover charge.

We visited on a grey Waitangi day and spent 1 1/2 hours walking round the gardens engrossed in our photography. After a wonderful peaceful time we ate at the restaurant (good reviews) and had a fantastic meal. I had flounder and my wife steak; both...More

Rapaura is a lovely garden surrounded by bush and water garden plants, the 15min walk to the waterfall is relatively easy, just a couple of small rises.

We visited this place in November 2011. The gardens are fantastic and the waterfalls are beautiful. But the best of this place is the restaurant with the excellent chef Sasha. He is just a talent. He is not only the best chef we met, but...More

This is a terrific place to stroll my only regret was that more of the plants and trees weren't marked. I wanted more of an educational experience being unfamiliar with the flora. We had a lovely piece of cake we shared in the cafe and...More

What a class act Rapaura/Koru is! We had lunch first at Koru which had just re-opened for the summer season. Everything about Koru is stylish: the food was tasty, attractively presented on the plate, and nicely served; the decor is pleasant; there was lovely background...More

Hi there and sorry I have not seen your query. There were no signs that restricted dogs but there are many ducks walking around and begging you to feed them. Best to answer that question are the gardens themselves. Enjoy... More
