Had a walk in Rapaura watergardens and enjoyed it. Weather was perfect and I guess because it was off season, it wasn't busy which made it even more enjoyable. The main attraction for me was the seven stairs to heaven waterfall- beautiful Takes about an...More

We drove from Whangamata to the gardens (about 1 hr 20 drive) and enjoyed a most pleasant time exploring the gardens, then also did the walk (about 20 mins one way) to the waterfall. Total time spent was 2 hours, which was neither rushed nor...More

Spent a morning looking around these gardens. Beautifully maintained. Walked up to the seven stairs to heaven waterfall. Enjoyed the morning even though it rained most of the time we were there. Had morning tea at the restaurant there. Would recommend.

Don't forget to take your camera as a picture is worth a thousand words. They will give you some food for the ducks and they will follow you everywhere.

Had a very nice lunch at the cafe followed by a walk around the gardens. Not sure that the gardens are quite worth the $15 admission, but they were nice to look at, and the waterfall was very pretty.

you share your walk with birds, ducks and the sound of water. Very peaceful. Do not forget to stop at the cafe; it is worth it.

Some friends recommended this garden before we left the UK. Glad we followed their advice. The drive across the Tapu-Coroglen road was interesting, i.e. a scary dirt road with tight corners, but a lot a fun all the same. The gardens were fantastic, assuming you...More

We visited yesterday - what an amazing place, the website did not do it justice. We decided to have lunch in the cafe prior to enjoying the gardens. Lovely food, served by caring staff who didn't mind answering our questions, and generally sharing their knowledge...More

The gardens are wort the entrance fee. First there is a walk in the beautiful gardens, after there is a nature walk on a good path to the waterfall. There is a café-restaurant. We were more than 2 hours in the gardens

Hi there and sorry I have not seen your query. There were no signs that restricted dogs but there are many ducks walking around and begging you to feed them. Best to answer that question are the gardens themselves. Enjoy... More
