Visited with my Dad and we just had the best time. Was so beautiful seeing all the native plans and a lovely little walk. Had fun feeding the friendly ducks as well. Staff were super lovely! Would definitely come back.

First day out of Auckland with many miles to go. Broke the journey with a visit and even though it was out of season the gardens were stunning and the gardener we spoke to was very friendly. Highlight was the 7 steps to heaven.

The Watergardens exceeded all my expectations. I booked to take Mum and Aunt, but found a paradise I have now visited three times in winter and summer. The gardens are meticulously maintained by a small family business. The tranquility is unsurpassed. Sit near a babbling...More

The gardens were written up as a tourist stop in the Foder's tour guide. They were well worth the windy, rough road it took to find this little gem. The gardens are well manicured with a large variety of native trees and plants and of...More

We went here on the recommendation of our hosts at Chartre Manor. Lunch was excellent, and we enjoyed our walk through the park and to the falls. We got a kick out of the ducks as one really took to my husband and followed him...More
