Sunset and Sunrise. That was my reward for the fun hike! It took me 3 hours to ascend, tiring but rewarding. Stayed over at the hut. You will cross maybe 10 swing bridges, countless cobblestone path. I will recommend folks to stay one night at the hut, so no need to rush…

We had the BEST couple of days doing this walk with our children, 8 and 10. Needed to allow 2x full days, including staying overnight. The hut is very well equipped with toilets/loo roll, drinking water, and gas stoves in good condition. Loads of cutlery, plates, pots, cups etc…

We went up the billy goat track and back down the Webb creek track. I’m as sore as I’ve ever been but so happy I did this. Get some decent hiking shoes because they’re probably going to get wet. The scenery is amazing and the hut (book through DoC) is first class.
