The Calgardup Cave walk was fun. Having helmets, head torches and a hand torch made it better. Unlike some other tourist caves, there was no lighting inside of the cave, so when you turn off your torch it's really dark and it felt like a...More

This a a self guided tour with a small info session at the start. You take it at your own pace and are given hard hats and different lights at the start to use through the cave. Requires a bit of cardio but well worth...More

Thanks for the great review Shinade and we are really glad you enjoyed your experience. Next time if you want to up the anti- come and visit Giants Cave. It is the deepest cave in the area (3 times deeper than Calgardup and twice as...More

My child enjoyed it though it may be a tad scary when you switched off all the lights and it turned pitch dark. The entry fee was not too awfully expensive for the experience as well.

This hidden gem is a self guided tour, we loved the fact we were the only people in there, ask for the blue torch to shine on the cave when other lights turn off, the luminescence is freaky !More

Thanks Damo, we are currently trying to source better quality blue lights as they can be a bit temperamental to use but when they work, they are pretty awesome. Great time of year to have this experience to yourself too. Thanks for your visit and...More

Small cave, cheapest of them all to visit, very small spaces to get through so it's not good for those who aren't able to bend very low. Peaceful space where you can turn off your head lamp and it's completely pitch black. Definitely worth a...More

Thanks for your review but please note that Calgardup is one of the medium size caves in the area with 300m of boardwalk. It is one of the easier caves to visit as it isn't as deep as some of the others with less stairs....More

It is great fun on being your own tour guide. The cave is very dark but it is great to feel the mystery of the darkness. Good fun

Glad you enjoyed your trip through Calgardup Cave. When you spend the time to look and don't just rush through, the cave yields all sorts of great surprises. Well done and thanks for the nice review.

This cave, along with Giants cave a bit further along Caves Road, is operated by DPAW, a govt agency whereas the other tourist caves are run by a not-for-profit organisation. The biggest differences are no guide and no electric lights. You get a hard hat...More
