Visited cafe for lunch and ignored for a fair while. Had to lodge own order and pay separate and at different locations for food and wine. Food over-priced, Risotto special borderline inedible, Gnocci a gluggy mess. Staff friendly, but has seriously gone south.

This is a long time (20 odd yrs) favourite of mine and my families. However, visited 30.12.2018 and ordered garlic bread and the tasting plate. It pains me to say that it was well below average. The garlic bread was flavourless and far too crunchy....More

Very disappointing... service was extremely rude and dismissive! Weren’t willing to talk to customers about their wines when we we’re on a winery tour (and paid a lot of money) very upsetting! Wines were nice but not worth it

Visited 20th November 2018 to find disappointing service, rickety table and meal served with so-called roasted vegetables swimming in duck fat. Not a patch on what I recall it to be - really need to lift their game given the competition out there and reduce...More

My husband and I just love The Woody Nook so we decided to celebrate our anniversary there. We were definitely not disappointed. The food was very good and cooked to perfection. Everyone made an effort to make our day special.

Went to Woody Nook Winery for Melbourne Cup lunch and had the most amazing time! We started with a welcome champagne (which kept getting topped up) and canapés (which we weren’t expecting), sweep and introduction to the day by our hilarious and lovely hostess. Then...More

Always great to visit this winery/cafe on Metricup road. Must say wine tasting here is always a pleasant experience unlike some very pretentious venues in the region. Simply taste, select and take your chosen wine to your table. Also some great specials to buy by...More
