Enjoyed a bike ride around the inlet and across the bridges. Perfect environment for bird watching. Easily able to be walked as well. Best early morning or late afternoon. Good spot for a BBQ or picnic.

Our visitors wanted to see local vegetation, local fauna, livestock but most of all they wanted to walk and examine what the area has to offer. A brief walk on the boardwalk, explain the mangroves, tell of the blue manna crabs, and how the inlet...More

Most creative and spectacular fireworks on Australia Day over the water in Koombana Bay. Worth coming to Bunbury for on Australia day every year.

Bunbury has the Indian Ocean, Koombana and the Leschenault Inlet in the middle which is like a seawater lake just behind the bay. Surrounded by trees and park-like strips along the inlet it is perfect for picnics, walks, runs, rowing or kayaking.
