Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were 5 mins to the closing time and Glen Campe, the owner still let us in. We were really impressed with the antique car collections. Most of them are older than us and yet still in such a well-maintained state. Besides these, there are other collections worth looking at. Old gramophone still working well (Glen kept asking us to dance to the music it produces:-). We spent at least an hour in there but could have been a lot longer if not for the plan to visit somewhere else. Glen was so helpful. Entrance of $10 per person, I would say is low compared to the experience.

Don’t be put off by the label motor museum its so much more than that. Was completely blown away by this museum which actually is a living collection- a labour of love by a Hamilton family built up over the years. Thousands of items ; cars, buses, fire engine, Motorcycles, lubricant signage, radios, children’s toys, prams, bikes, sewing machines - you name it are here in good condition neatly displayed. We didn’t have the privilege of meeting Glen but his son kindly opened up for us and gave us some really interesting history to the collection. Thank you!

Open by appointment (even for one person). Great collection of interesting cars and motoring memorabilia. Museum has become more crowded with vehicles over time. Needs improved layout, display information and lighting.

This is an amazing place. You don't need to be a car person to appreciate these beautiful old cars that are kept in amazing condition. It was easy to ring the phone number on the website and make sure the place is open. Well worth a visit, a real hidden gem.

The web site suggests you ring the museum and they will open however I was going past and they were open.
The selection of cars/bikes is amazing and to be able to sit in any of them which brings back memories like my first car, a Mk1 Zephyr.
There are some very valuable cars like the 1957 VW, Rollers, Benz etc etc.
My guide said he would open up if even if there was only one person wanting to inspect the collection.
If you are travelling through Hamilton, don’t go past this Museum!

The museum was not open during their advertised times. We called the phone number on the door several times throughout the day and did not receive a return call. Maybe try phoning ahead if you plan to go to ensure the museum will actually be open.

Wow what a walk back in time.
Not only a great selection of old cars all in working condition but the collection of other items around the walls etc will bring you back to your child hood days.
Friendly hosts with a wealth of knowledge about every car as all privately owned by the Campes.
Fantastic place to visit and highly recommend
