This was my first visit to the Gallery and I would strongly recommend visitors to Geelong to put this on their 'must see' list. My visit was later in the day so I enjoyed viewing the entrants in The Archibald Prize in a peaceful space.

Visited the Geelong Art Gallery to see the Archibald which regardless of where it's exhibited always seems to create it's own conversation. Found the layout within the gallery very good. Did view works of McCubbin, but regrettably did not see much more of the gallery...More
Went after the school holidays. Gallery was pleasantly empty so I could wander and view the paintings without other people around me. Mostly great paintings as ever. Parking was easy. Second year they have been in Geelong.
