Have been going here since I was a child and it just keeps getting better. On a sunny day it is especially lovely even if the crowds are bigger. Love to walk along it and enjoy all that is going on, love the sculptures. Parking...More
Beautiful views if you arrive early and select the window seats.
Authentic Indian food .
I had the scallops in a delicate sauce. Beautiful!

I matched the food with a delightful local beer and wines by...More
Eastern Beach where I used to go with my family when I was a child. Many happy memories there of family picnics, pedalo boats for hire and swimming. A lovely place which all of this time later is still beautiful with well kept gardens and...More
Quite busy on a sunny day but there is lots of parking...you may have to walk a distance if you can only get a park up on the hill. A 60cm deep childrens, chlorinated pool in front of the ocean baths, bordered with a promenade...More
This is an area for all age groups, playgrounds for kids, lovely clean walk-ways and benches to soak up the views, clean grassed areas and tables for picnics and fun bollards to look at. Don't think about swimming though, even in summer the water is...More
Had a recent walk along Eastern Beach and loved it. This area has great bollards in various locations along the way and the stroll around the promenade is good also. Back towards town are plenty of coffee shops to sit also
Looking for something to do while on the geelong waterfront you cant go past taking a walk and following the bollard path that extends around the waterfront walking path.

Hi, the bollards are along the foreshore just west from Cunningham pier (50metres or so) at the corner of Moorabool st and Richie boulevard and continue for about 1kilometre to Eastern beach on Eastern beach road. It is a beautiful little city.
Other free MUST SEE things to do around Geelong are;
The great ocean road, the Otway national park (part of the great ocean road runs along the edge of this) if you head to Lorne and follow the signs to Erskin falls they are very pretty.
The You Yangs national park has excellent walking trails and bbq/picnic facilities and an abundance of kangaroos and Koalas.
The Narana centre is on Torquay rd in Grovedale and is an Aboriginal cultural centre with locally made Aboriginal art and souvenirs a must see in my book.
Enjoy your trip.
