Located in between the Gordon Tafe, Government Buildings, (Revamped) Geelong Library and Art Gallery, Railway Station, Geelong Courthouse and Police station and Performing Arts centre is a lovely park to relax in on a hot day and location for several Geelong festivals

Lovely place, near railway station, library, art gallery. Short walk to Geelong shopping. Eastern Beach attractions including Bollards, Carousel and eateries a short walk or drive.

Now that the construction has been completed, Johnstone Park is looking a million dollars. Beautiful view of the art gallery and a nice place to spend some spare time just sitting and watching the world go past or reading a book.

there has been fare to much construction with the new Library and now the garden that people have lost interest in the area as many use to go to see the possums after dark and there was markets held there

A visit to the Museum we also hoped to walk through the park but were left disappointed as it’s undergoing a major revamp. I dare say that it will be spectacular once finished but doesn’t help if you have travelled any distance to find it...More

We were somewhat disappointed that most of Johnson Park is now a construction site. There is still room to have a picnic. The end result will no doubt be worth the inconvenience.

great place to have sit on the grass and eat your lunch or even take a book along to read, can get a little busy on a nice day but still plenty of space for everyone.

Johnstone park was near the Geelong Gallery and I was there on my way to the railway station. It was a nice park.

Hi Nacy J, just take the Geelong train from Southern Cross station and stop at Geelong station (one stop before South Geelong) the park is directly adjacent to the Geelong train station so it literally couldn't be any... More
