I was shown around this building by a local historian and had to admit I was fascinated. Like a lot of buildings in Ballarat they seem to have kept most of the original. It is worth a visit.

Convenient, well staffed & the tea rooms are a history lesson. Clean and modern bathrooms, which are a must.

The Station Stands as a reminder of the wealth and importance Ballarat and Railway travel once held. The imposing White tower would have been a beacon like structure in the 1800s. The Station Cafe serves a good range of fast food and more importantly,... Great...More

Apart from some obvious modifications this place looks like I imagine it might have done so 100+ years ago. I loved it.

It is massive but maintains the character, the heritage, the sense of Wealth of the Gold Rush. We met a Visitor travelling up from Melbourne. All was easy. Worth a visit here.

Great please to see while in Ballarat. As are all the wonderful buildings in this town. Just sitting watching the trains on the old station is a delight
