Loved walking around and seeing all the gardens had to offer. Extremely well maintained. Trees named and was great to see all the statues. Very educational as well as tranquil.

Another place that we had not know about until we arrived in Ballarat. The locals are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to exercise, relax and just enjoy.

We were walking next to the Lake Wendouree. There were trees in the lake, at least nearby where we walked. A purple swamphen came out of the bushes. The lake is huge and attractive! Wortwhile for a stroll!

Contact Ballarat Tourist Information at the Town Hall (03) 5337 4337 they will be able to answer this and more info about what else you can do whilst you are in Ballarat - I found them very helpful when I was there in May.
