Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited the Information Centre recently. We met Yvonne who was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She knew the things you don't find in brochures. Thanks to her we had a great time.

Visited today and the centre is very neat, spent at least 10 minutes and didnt even get an hello, staff member was too busy talking to someone, maybe a colleague and didn't give us the time of day. All other centres we have visited have been very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I visited this place, which is located inside The Town Hall Building, to collect some maps of Ballarat and the surrounding areas.
This Centre is clean, tidy and very well presented. Staff were very helpful and we obtained what we wanted.
Plenty of car parking spaces outside.

You can get to most places of interest in Ballarat without a car. Ballarat is just over an hour by train from Melbourne, The heart of the city is within walking distance from the train station. The Ballarat Visitor information Centre is in the Town Hall, which is in Sturtt St, the main street. Ballarat has a good bus service, the Visitor Information Centre can provide timetables and maps. We took the bus to the Botanic Garden, it was easy to find. Of course, we could drive but the train is more relaxing.

They seem to have all the brochures and maps for Ballarat, plus they even have obscure ones for the surrounding districts. We despaired at finding our way to the sights in another town, but they were very helpful, searching all the boxes and drawers out the back.

The Ballarat Visitor Information Centre is located in the Town Hall, in Sturt Street. It is a good first call for visitors new to Ballarat. You can get lots of information and brochures, and bus timetables. You don't need a car to get around Ballarat, just a good map.

The Ballarat Visitor Information Centre is connected to the Town Hall, For out-of-town visitors, they have loads of information, including maps. This should be your first port-of-call. Getting around Ballarat by public transport in quite easy. If you don't know where to visit, they can help sort out an itinerary.
