Beautiful scenery! What a view this place was! Comparing it to Hunter Valley in NSW I would choose Tamar Valley anyway! Gorgeous place! Definitely a must do in Launceston!

Seven ancient primary sewerage treatment plants built in the sixties dumping effluent 28 times a day all year..just pathetically shameful for such a beautiful valkey..the almighty $ has corrupted Tasmania everywhere from Tassal to the Pokies lobby..

The drive between Launceston and Beauty Point is very picturesque. I was reminded of this today - after not doing it for a while. Increasing number of casual dining and accommodation options in Beauty Point itself pleasing to see.

They are quite close to each other. Cataract G is slightly closer to Hobart and would make a good stop before going to the Tamar valley.
