I'll be honest I like the Moncrieff, it's like cinema used to be when I was growing up. It's a proper, honest venue, clean and tidy and ready for movies or a show. I've been there a couple of times for movies and it's excellent...More

Tickets are cheap, but make sure you take a jacket. Very chilly inside. Seating is a tab uncomfortable, but for the price worth taking the kids or grandys to watch a film.

suitably located in centre of town so can walk there although parking can be an issue sometimes;good range of movies and live concerts at variable times; movie prices good and most events are reasonable too considering you don't have to travel and pay accommodation

I love the Moncrieff, a bit like stepping back in time (but with some mod-cons). The staff provides excellent customer service and there has been an increase in the number of performances/shows on offer, I only wish the bar was open more often!

We visited to watch a film at the cinema and its quite small only allowing for one show at a time but the cinema room itself is large and comfortable

A great venue providing the latest in movies at a fraction of the price of other theatres. Meet with friends before the show for a coffee or a wine in the comfortable foyer. Easy access for wheelchairs and disabled people. Great acoustics and a free...More

We saw a live show here and were pleasantly surprised the the upgraded and comfortable seating. The sound was good and sharp and heard anywhere in the theatre. The staff were very helpful and friendly and showed us to our seats. A very pleasant experience.
