The Bathers Way is an excellent paved coastal walk in Newcastle from Nobbys Head to Merewether Beach. It has the potential for fairly steep climb and some stairs through King Edward Park but there is the option of taking a more gradual rise by sticking...More

The Bather’s Way is a wonderful walk along 5km of Newcastle’s city bleaches. Enjoy the view from sea level or higher up from the Anzac Bridge. The walk is punctuated by beach cafes and so there is plenty of time to stop and linger over...More

We did a small part of this coastal walk on a recent cruise visit to Newcastle, NSW. The scenery is stunning and the views out over the water are magnificent. This walkway is well used and we met bathers, surfers, runners and dog walkers.

Very enjoyable place to walk or run. Although the local council is taking an enormous risk by leaving parts of it in the dark, especially on the south end

This is a great coastal walk. We walked from Nobby's Beach to Bar Beach and return (about 8km). The walk hugs the magnificent coastline . You will climb several stairs and is quite hilly in parts (average fitness will suffice) . There are several beach...More
