Down towards the fort, there are great cliffs and the Bogey Hole swimming pool, then the path goes beside the beach. Some parts are in rather bad condition and the beach section gets crazy cyclists but the views are fantastic.

Well-designed walk with lovely scenery and helpful historical markers. I especially appreciated the marker at Shepherd's Hill that told of the Aboriginal names and history of the area. I wish there were more markers explaining the indigenous history of the Newcastle region.

Bring your swimmers as many places to swim, or simply lie on the beach or grass. A few cafes on route to get drinks or food.

You can’t not do this walk, especially on a lovely day, great views, and if you are really lucky you might even see dolphins playing.

A stunning walk that shows off the fantastic coast at Newy. Awesome engineering. Great place to watch for whales at the right time of the year.
