This memorial is indeed spectacular and sobering at the same time. The names and cause of death of each miner really brings the risks of this work into perspective. This is while you have a fantastic view of B.H. And surrounds.

So sad to see the names ages and cause of death of the 800 miners who have died in Broken Hill. Great views from this site. We had the best scones and coffee. Highly recommend this place

When you walk up to the memorial it is emotionally moving. The way and the ages they died. So many workplace accidents, thankfully modern mining practices saves lives.

Think this was best coffee I had in broken Hill. Great place to take visitors and view us special. You must stop half way up the hill to read the memorial dedicated to two young men killed in a mine collapse over 100 years ago

You know when a sign says don't do something, you do it anyway? So that will happen to you up here. You will sit on the big red chair and get a picture. But the memorial is what you must see. It is tough to...More

A Stunning View over the Hill from this touching memorial to all the fallen miners from 1884 to today. Thankfully modern work practices have led to fewer injuries or even deaths. Well done and very interesting to see the various causes of demise from what...More

This remarkable memorial, with plaques remembering every miner killed since the mines began in 1884, is an incredible place to visit. It is a rather intriguing construction and its position, on the top of a large slag dump, reminds you of what the miners have...More
