About
The Ultimate Hands-On Experience. Set on 25 acres of open natural bushland, Oakvale Wildlife Park is 100% Australian family-owned and operated. At the park, you will find an endless menagerie of Australian natives, domestic farm and exotic animals such as koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, goats, sheep, rabbits, alligators and ostriches. Plus many, many more. Established in November 1979 by Jeff and Elaine Sansom and later passed down to their son Kent Sansom in 1995. Oakvale Wildlife Park has remained a family-owned and operated business for more than 42 years. Since 1979 the farm has undergone countless changes. However, one thing that remains the same is our commitment to providing an opportunity for our customers to learn about our native wildlife and how we can protect it. We strive to provide a fun, safe, educational, accessible and value-for-money experience for the whole family.

Spent about 2 to 3 hours with the kids . The zoo is not huge but has a good variety of animals. Goats, Kangaroos, ducks do roam around part of the park which you can pat and feed with their $2 bags.

The best part is feeding farm animals milk bottles and tractor ride. Not all the shows were available as we went on a weekday.

Super impressed with wildlife park. We took 1 and 3 year olds who had the best day ever. Any young children are well suited here. Must buy a bag of feed or two on entry ($2 each). We lasted about 3 hours but would have been longer if kids were a bit older. We'll be back.

We visited Oakvale today, to say I was impressed would be an understatement. The staff were friendly, the animals were all well looked after, the grandchildren loved being able to feed the animals and the playground kept them entertained. Well done Oakvale we thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Went with my 4 kids (11,9,1 and 6weeks old) and everyone enjoyed it. Tickets weren’t pricey. Paid $58 for 1 adult + 2kids. My two little ones were free of charge. The kids enjoyed the interaction with animals. Feeding them, patting them and taking pictures with them!!! What a treat!! Staff were friendly too. It wasn’t so big so kids didn’t get bored or so overwhelmed with too many different animals. Before we left kids enjoyed cooling down at the splash Bay Area and we had a picnic! We loved it! And oh don’t worry about parking, there are plenty of parking areas and it’s free!

It's a cute park. There were plenty of little sheep's roaming around, and my little one loved feeding them. They seemed quite comfortable coming closer to us. There were plenty of wallabies and kangaroos around to feed, touch, and take some amazing photos. The park is designed easy to access and walk around. The animal feeding show was also really nice and I recommend you visit it. It was amazing feeding milk to little sheep.

Had a great day out with good friends. Lots to see and loved getting to interact with the animals (e.g. milking a cow, feeding goats). Additionally, the private animal encounters are more personal but also great fun.

All staff we interacted with were extremely friendly, welcoming and informative.

Would go again.

Disappointing with the $39 fee for all no matter what the age I.e. young children are charged this price. So unfair to families who just want a nice day out. Staff are young and inexperienced. They should implement a smaller fee for water park use only.

Dear SandyC000, Thank you for taking the time to review Oakvale Wildlife Park in relation to your recent visit. We are disheartened that you did not feel you received value for money during your visit. Oakvale is an interactive experience where visitors can interact with free-roaming animals, partake in keeper talks, tractor-trailer rides, feeding shows, large shaded playgrounds, BBQ/picnic facilities allowing guests to bring their own food and beverages, and Splash Bay Water Park, all of which are included in the entry fee outlined below. Prices current as of 18th March 2024 Adults $39.00 (17+ years) Seniors $35.00 Child (3-16yrs) $25.00 Family: 2 adults + 2 children $118.00 Family: 1 adult + 2 children $84.00 Enabling visitors to have a full day distinctive learning experience in relation to farm life, sustainability, caring for native wildlife and preserving threatened species; while at the same time providing hands-on encounters with a variety of domestic and native animals. Additional private wildlife encounters and specialised animal food to hand-feed the animals is available at a nominal fee for those who wish to enhance their hands-on experience within the park. However, these items are not a necessity for you to purchase to still experience the hands-on environment that Oakvale Wildlife Park offers. Regards Oakvale Team

We had an outstanding visit to this wildlife park! My 5yo daughter loves animals but as most Zoos are “looking only” experiences, this place really stood out. She got to feed goats, lambs and piglets, and was able to milk a cow! There are goats, ducks and wallaby’s just wandering around everywhere so she could feed them or cuddle them whenever she wanted. There are also plenty of great animals to look at, including cows, meerkats, camels, lemurs, alligators, birds, donkeys and miniature ponies.
It’s also not too big so we weren’t too exhausted but managed to see everything by lunch, then we got to use the great playground and splash pad after we had lunch. The afternoon was much quieter than the morning and so we stuck around to enjoy the feeding display again.
The grounds were lovely and clean, the animals looked very healthy and happy, and every single staff member we encountered was lovely and helpful. I highly recommend this place and will be back for sure!

Dear Danielle F, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to Oakvale Wildlife Park along with your kind words about our park and staff. It is delightful to read you enjoyed a full day out at the park and utilised all that we have on offer. We have designed and developed the park so our guests can see, touch and feel a variety of animals, with around 70% of our animals that you can have a form of interaction with it is wonderful to hear that your daughter and yourself enjoyed this interaction. We do look forward to welcoming you and your family back to the park again soon. Kind Regards, Oakvale Team

A hidden gem. Great for kids and adults. The park is small enough not to tire you out but large enough to present a good selection of animals. The kids will have a great time feeding the animals and enjoying the setting and waterpark. The staff are friendly and presented several informative shows with local animals. Highly recommended. Great day out. Can spend several hours.

We had a great time at Oakvale Wildlife park. We arrived in time to feed the baby lambs and goats their bottles which the kids (and me!) loved. After a tractor ride we then walked around the park feeding the various animals. There were Kangaroos, pony’s, cows, rabbits, camels, donkeys, lemurs and wallabies.

The kids then had a cool down in the splash park and a play on the playgrounds before we attended 2 presentations on reptiles and Koalas. The kids were able to get photos taken with lizards, snakes and koalas.

We waved to the 2 alligators on the way out and had a car full of happy and exhausted kids.
