Popped into Surf Fevah with my family while we were on Holiday in Westport.
This is a great wee surf shop, and brings a really modern feel the the area.
They offer an awesome range of men's and woman's clothes, as well as surf accessories, surf equipment and lots of other cool bits and pieces.
This place has the distinctive "west coast" laid back vibe, but is a cool modern way.
They also offer surf lessons!
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

Perfect combination of surf shop with extensive range of gear and surf instruction from one who knows and is passionate about boundless opportunities near at hand. I'd been wanting to learn for a good while and I was set up with excellent quality wetsuit and board and headed out to the primo Tauranga Bay. Stunning spot and perfect conditions. Cargs, the owner-operator, gave great instruction on the beach before we headed in to the water. Never anticipated that I'd be able to catch my first wave ever! There's no looking back 😊

My buddy and I added the West Coast to our South Island road trip and are super glad we found this place for our surfboard/wetsuit needs!!
Cargs is the man and his shop is delightful. They gave us a good deal on surfboard and wetsuit hires (“hire”=“rental” in Kiwi for all my Americans out there). They let us keep the boards for a good amount of time and were flexible about returns.
The surfing itself was pretty good. We went to North Beach, which is just east of Buller River. Paddling through the current was tough, but if you can get far out enough, the waves are really rewarding. Not crowded at all. I’d recommend checking out the conditions on Surfline. There are some other more advanced breaks nearby in Tauranga Bay/Nine-Mile Beach, but we stayed in North Beach.
Highly recommend checking out Westport for your South Island travels. The West Coast and the road-trip to it are breathtaking.

Surfing was a great experience in westport! with a very good surf instructor Carg!! :) He teaches you good surfing and teaches you things about the sea.

We had the opportunity to surf with Cargs. He is a very good professional willing to share his passion for surf.

These guys were wonderful. They set up our family of 5 (three girls) with gear and lessons. The instruction was great and everyone got up riding waves. They let us keep the gear and even came back later to pick it up from us. It was a wonderful introduction to Westport. Put the town and Surf Fevah on your to-do list!

They teached us very well and also advised us after the lessons. We could rent all the stuff we need there too so it is definitely a good idea to go there if you want to go surfing in Westport.

The shop is awesome but the surf lessons are even better! Great, awfully nice instructor who immediately adapted to my level of skill. 100% recommended!!!
