lots of walking space

May 2022

I went for a walk later afternoon, there are so many walking tracks you could spend a couple of hours in there. There are also mountain bike tracks, however I didn't encounter any riders.

Lake Henry had wonderful reflections on it and there was an abundance of fungi to photograph as well as great views of the mountains if you climb to the top, it is not a significant climb.

Disc golf

Jul 2021 • Couples

Hire a disc from the sports store in town for $5 each disk. Good hour plus of fun. Get the Udisc app and you can mark your scores and enjoy the challenge of disc golf. The course was a little wet, but there had been a lot of rain.

Beside Lake Te Anau

Visited on Thursday 3rd May. While out for a stroll beside the lake we came across this small park, well worth make it your destination if going out for a walk.

Surprising find

Frisbee Golf fabulous fun and free

Ivan Wilson park is a delightful surprise and shouldn't be missed. There is something here for every-one with walking tracks, kids fishing lake and Frisbee Golf as well

Absolutely beautiful and charming park

This contains a number of tracks, through the woods, in outdoor farmland style area, by a pond, by trees. Especially in autumn the reds, oranges, yellows and greens are lovely. I highly recommend this enchanting place.

Quiet park with disc golf course

We had a great afternoon playing disc golf at Ivan Wilson Park. Park is fairly quiet, didn't see many other people even though it was a fine day, and had a really relaxing time. The turnoff to the park is well signposted & there is plenty of parking. Would be a great spot for a picnic if you're looking for a quieter alternative to the lakefront.

Frisbee Golf

Great little park for a small town. Kids only fishing lake was a real treat. Frisbee golf, MTB tracks and lookouts with lovely views.
