A little exploration
May 2020
Almost drove right by it! There is a little car park which has a footpath going around to the Chasm, a boarded walk over so you get a good view.

CLOSED - FLOOD DAMAGED
Jul 2020 • Solo
February's flood caused the upper bridge to be swept away and lower bridge has visible signs of damage. Alternatively make a turn at the hollyford intersection and drive 1 km down the road to find Carpark. There you can walk up to a nice waterfall called the marian cascade. Nb this track also has extensive damage beyond the waterfall.

Nice trek
Jun 2019
Short trek (suitable for elderly) with interesting rock formations formed by the gushing waters. Good stop along the way between Te Anau and Milford Sound

Charming view
Nov 2019
On way from Te Anau to Milford Sound, are these amazing waterfalls, sculpted in the rocks. The rock formations are amazing.

Awesome even in pouring rain!
Dec 2019
This was one of the best stops on the Milford Sound Rd. Just the force of the water coming through the gorge - and the crazy, sculpted rocks! Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend, even if you have to do it in wet weather.

Worth stopping and having a car break
Jan 2020
A short walk between the bush to this amazing hole come waterfall! Seems a good place also to spot the Kea Birds. Saw a few in the car park. Rock formations quite something.

Amazing views
Dec 2019
This is a very easy loop walk (slightly uphill for the first half) from the parking area that affords excellent views of a dramatic waterfall with several interesting rock formations. One of my wife’s personal favorites was the holes that have been created in the rocks by pebbles. There are ferns and other plants to observe along the walk. Total time to walk round trip is 20-30 minutes.

Well worth a visit!
Jan 2020 • Couples
We visited here on our way to Milford Sound. It’s a 15 minute walk through the jungle but is well worth it. A great little gem nestled away in the NZ bush.

The walk is easy enough and plenty to look at on the way. No facilities there really but does have a big car park. It’s fairly quite all in all, unless a bus turns up.

Definitely recommend, the natural beauty of this place in amazing.

Worth the Stop
Jan 2020
If you like waterfalls you should stop here you get to stand on a bridge looking straight down at this one and then see the top of the falls where the water is carving out the rock as it rushes through a narrow passage.
