Excellent company! Brilliant communication and very friendly staff. Everything was done as advertised. We used this company to get to Milford Track and back.

Fantastic memorable tour to Milford Sound. The Guide was very knowledgeable of the area and Milford Sound boat tour was stunning, the tour included a pack lunch and visits to waterfalls and lakes, we were lucky to see a White Heron near Milford Sound as well as seals while on the boat tour. We would highly recommend trips and tramps for a day tour to Milford Sound and we’ll organised trip with pickups from out accommodation in Te Anau.

Incredible service! Our boat driver was super friendly, and he even made a call to get the shuttle bus to the Milford Sound visitor center to make a special trip to the boat dock just for us. You can pay more for less personal service, but why would you?

Three of us had an amazing tramp through from Hankinson to George Sound, such an awesome place. It was tough as warned, but the scenery and isolation was bliss. The dense bush was most beautiful (but at times brutal walking through), and the wild life amazing, think we saw the lot (Deer, Weka, Morepork, numerous robins, tomtits, fantails, dolphins ...). We even spotted a black fantail which I understand are quite rare.
We arranged all water and helicopter transport through Fiordland Outdoors. Highly recommend doing it all through them as it pays off in logistical movements of vehicles and when things change as they did with weather. They are also so helpful, accommodated some tricky timing and their communication is superb.

If you’ve not got the time, the energy or the interest in a three day hike carrying all your gear, this is the perfect way to experience a superb section of the Kepler Track.
The water taxi leaves from the centre of town, then drops you right in the middle of a superb pierce of the Kepler Track with ferns, forest and streams, just metres back from the lake.
You can then do a short walk and catch another boat back an hour later, or, walk to the Control Gates (about 90 minutes) and then either walk back to town or organise a bus or taxi, or keep walking, as we did, on to Rainbow Reach where a bus will collect you.
The section to the Control Gates is flat and wide and anyone can walk it, and even the section beyond here to Rainbow Reach has minimal elevation.
We’ve done this twice now and it’s a cheap, and wonderful day out.

Thanks for your review Stephen, good ideas there for how to day walk the Kepler Track. There are quite a few options and taking the Kepler Water Taxi means you don't have to walk back the way you came. Thanks again and see you soon!

Had a great experience taking the Kepler water taxi to start our 4 day Kepler tramp. The water taxi was on time and the staff member was super friendly. Would recommend this to anyway day walking or doing the full Kepler track!

Hi
We're looking at staying in the Waitanic (ship) or the plane in January 2015. Do the rooms in the plane and the ship have ensuites?
Also, does it get hot in the plane cockpit in summer?

Sorry, I do not know about either of these. fish jet is a day trip on a jet boat with fishing on an island and lunch on the beach.
