Hi, I've not tramped the Hump, but have tramped Routeburn/Greenstone and Heaphy in the South Island. Routeburn is tough if it's wet and windy and you'd be best advised to have plenty of energy if that happens. So maybe... More

Yep and yep. You'll need to boial watre for washing but plenty of cold tamk watre and there's always the mountain spa ;-)
