We were very lucky the day we went. There were only about 35 other people and we understand that it is usually hundreds. The weather was clear and sunny (it hadn't been the days leading up) and we even saw dolphins.

We did this trip the day after we’d done Milford Sound, and whilst it is well-organised and no doubt would be beautiful on a sunny dry day, it was a long wet trip when it’s raining! True, the waterfalls fish all the more, but if...More
