The largest national park in New Zealand. Coming from Te Anau, first you see the plains amid the towering mountains, then the winding road going to Milford Sound, and finally Milford Sound itself. This park is so vast and the scenery is just so breathtaking

We visited and were amazed at the sight of the towering cliffs with vegetation clinging to every surface. Definitely one for the bucket list.

Small but helpful park visitor center with some interesting displays that we all enjoyed. Worth a visit.

What a beautiful area to drive through and several hiking trails or stops along the road to Milford Sound. Good information centre and washrooms as well.

The title says it all. The Park is amazing, full of wonders and basically one of the most spectacular places on earth. The boat cruise was the highlight of the trip
