The visitor centre has a useful map of the 25 points of interest before the Homer Tunnel. The Cascade Creek loop walk through centuries-old native beech forest is not to be missed. The walk up to the viewing point for Humboldt Falls is also nice, but some might be put off by the 17km drive on unsealed road.

If you want scenery and are in to solitude, hiking or adventure then this is for you.
It’s a photographers dream even if the weather isn’t always predictable- it is one of NZ’s highest rainfall areas and the sandflies are ferocious but with good gear and repellent you’ll be fine.
Waterfalls and lush forest, babbling streams, deep lakes and high snowy peaked mountains make this place magical and well worth a visit.

Fiordland National Park was an impressive experience with New Zealand's treasured natural icons. It is famous for its glacier carved fiords with serene surrounding.

Genuinely beautiful place with lots of outdoor activities. Yes it is a area of higher than average rain fall but this adds to the beauty and doesn’t detract from the experience.

Loads of information is a very new looking building. Parking was easy and close to the walkway at the lakefront.

I bought 1 hour helicopter trip from Te Anau over lake, fjords and mountains with 2 stops, one in the small bay between mountains and the other on the top of the mountains. I ahve seen so many sceneries in the middle of untouched nature.
I will remeber this experience for all my life!
