We used Tracknet for a few bus trips to and from towns in the South Island NZ and had to make a few adjustments to our plans over time. The staff were always very accommodating and organised. I would highly recommend using Tracknet for your travel plans.

I travelled with Tracknet from Queenstown to Te Anau and back using their scheduled service. Both trips were great. Drivers were very engaging and knowledgeable, giving us some commentary on the areas we passed through on the trip. Buses left and arrived on time and on both trips we were provided with a stop to use bathrooms and get a coffee or snack. The buses were modern, comfortable and very clean. Seats had foot rests, a seat back pocket for drinks etc and charging ports for mobile phones. The drivers were very helpful. On our trip from Queenstown a couple realised a few blocks away from the bus terminal that they had left their backpack behind. The driver happily went back for it. On our return journey, our travel company had changed our hotel booking to one which was 15 minutes walk (up a steep hill) from town. The driver offered to drop us at our hotel to save us the walk with our suitcases. He also offered to drop other passengers direct to their hotel. Overall a great experience would highly recommend them for transfers.

We walked the Milford Track in late January and were lucky enough to have Nigel and Karen as our bus drivers on multiple legs of the journey to and from Queenstown / Te Anau / Milford Sound. Nigel's commentary on each leg of the trip was extremely insightful and entertaining. Having someone that knowledgeable about the area regaling us with such interesting stories really made the bus rides feel special (they were a highlight of our trip!). Karen was absolutely lovely too and had many great recommendations for hiking in Fjordland and other parts of New Zealand. All in all, we had a terrific experience with Tracknet, from booking our transport to the actual transport itself. A big thanks to the Tracknet team, and Nigel and Karen in particular! :)

TrackNet is a small company that runs tours/connections across the southern part of the South Island of New Zealand. Being smaller they have access to locations such as the entrances to the main hiking paths on the South Island that other companies just don’t. I used them for a return transfer between Te Anau and Queenstown and they were fantastic. I had trouble getting into Queenstown because of post-concert traffic to meet their bus, but a quick call and they took care of everything. I’m so grateful to the kindness that they showed to me. It’s a shame they don’t run connections across more of the South Island - they are very good at what they do.

We used Tracknet for travel to and from the start/end of the Routeburn. Comfortable travel, in well equipped buses (the one we returned from the Divide in had USB chargers). The driver on the way back to Queenstown was very entertaining with a lot of stories and pointing out areas and history along the way. Highly recommended.

I used Tracknet in December 2022 and March 2023 for a number of runs between QN and Te Anau, and to/from the Kepler, Routeburn and the Milford tracks. Excellent! Very accommodating and always got me to places on time (often early which was much appreciated!). Special shout out to Paula who I had a couple of times - great chats and superb efficiency at getting some tricky customers to where they needed to go without interrupting the various schedules that the said travellers put at risk - handled with great skill!

We went two times from queenstown to Te anu with tracknet and they were exceptional! All the drivers were really friendly and they do everything they can to help you and drop you as close to your end destination as possible. We got dropped straight outside our accommodation both times and it was highly appreciated. If we are doing more travels in new Zealand in the future we will definitely use Tracknet again!

We a group of 8 girls from Australia had the best experience travelling with Tracknet. Paula and Nigel two of our drivers were full off helpful information and went above and beyond to make our trip smooth. They were both very friendly helpful humorous people, Well done Tracknet on employing great staff and adding to our travel experience.

Our family initially thought our wonderful experience of Milford Track Great Walk will start at the moment we get our trekking pole out until the final day when we put it back into our backpacks. Surprisingly, it did not! A Tracknet bus driver named Nigel made our whole trip even more memorable to us, and to all passengers on board, as well. He did not just drive passengers from point A to point B! He went the extra mile! Nigel is approachable, helpful and very professional in what he does!

We used this service to travel from Queenstown to TeAnau and back. The coach was on-time, and the friendly driver helped getting our luggage on & off. As well as a couple of pick-up stops, there was a short beak after about one & a half hours to stretch legs, buy a coffee & visit facilities. The scenery on the route is gorgeous, and its possible to see it much better from the coach than a rental car.
