You just have to drive out to Glenorchy, and if your bones and vehicle can cope, continue to the end of the road by driving on to Paradise.

We stayed in Queenstown and did the road trip to Glenorchy. The whole was way .... WOW!! Had a coffee in Glenorchy and the obligatory photo outside the red shed. Nice place.

Navigating through the mountains was a breath taking experience. Pretty bad to say this but it really was a struggle to keep my eyes on the road as I just could not ignore the scenery surrounding us as we took a road trip from Queenstown to Glenorchy. The trip is only about 45-50mins and there are plenty of side stops you can stop at to take photos of the backdrop. …

We travelled down this stunning road and ended with a lovely coffee and food. Sealed all the way and some great lake and mountain views. Plenty of places to stop on the way. Loved this road trip.
