While Queenstown is generally done at full pace, Onsen Hot Pools takes a step back to let you take in the beauty of the surroundings and simply relax. With uninterrupted views across the Shotover Canyon, our Cedar Hot Tubs are heated to 37.8C on warmer days and up to 39.8C during the winter and can accommodate up to four adults. Our natural setting is matched by the pure water captured on its endless journey between the sky and earth to continually fill and refresh the pools. With complimentary transport to and from Queenstown, Onsen Hot Pools is relaxation the natural way.

Best hot pools I have been to! Private & the view is gorgeous. Lovely to go at night. Great to have private shower & changing area in your room.

I had one day in Queenstown to plan a romantic mini-break for my partner and I, so booked the Onsen as a surprise. As I wanted us to be able to see the stunning views, but also enjoy the 'Candlelight' package we arrived just before dusk and booked a 1.5hr session to take us through into the dark - and... More

Absolutely lovely place. I never really enjoy having a bath, but the view for the individual pool room is just spectacular, makes the bathing time much more enjoyable. Make sure you book your session during the day light hours and if you are lucky enough you might be able to catch the shotover jet zooming past infront of you. So... More

We rang and booked a hot tub the night before. The owner came and picked us up and was really helpful and nice. Staff were really good. The hot tub was organised as soon as we got there. Grabbed some towels and got straight to it. Hot tubs were a great temperature after a few days of skiing and boarding.... More

My wife took me here and I had no idea what I was in for. Make sure you pay the little extra and order the 'Candle' package. It's well worth it. Its very clean and couldn't fault the place. If its raining even better. When you get inside your pool you have a range of controld for water, bubbles and... More

We never would have gone to the Onsen Hot Pools unless it was raining. Onsen Hot Pools are a ten minute drive from Queenstown. The hot pool was a wooden tub with a wooden deck. A shower is available in the room. The opening overlooking Skipper's Canyon has a garage door that you can control. You can also control the... More

Had a morning to kill in Queenstwon, so gave them a call, arranged for a quick pickup from our hotel, and off we went... an the only thing we regret is not having booked if for the previous night!! Great views (we saw a couple of the speed boats manouvering in the river) on a bright, sunny day. The rooms... More

I visited here after seeing the exeptional reviews on tripadvisor, and I really wasn't disappointed. The hot tubs are everything you could wish for, and the view is great. I suspect that this place is even better on a really cold night with clear skies but - sadly my night was overcast and drizzling. Nevertheless the view over the valley... More

My daughter and l spent an amazing hour after a tiring journey, in our own private room with heated pool and shower,to cap it all the roof was retractable ,to reveal the sensational outdoor scenery. Pure clean alpine water.Shuttle service. Run by a friendly family. Give this a try, its an amazing experience and real value for money.
