It was fun riding across the lake on the boat, the for was good and portions were unlimited. Go Hungry! The sheep herding and sheering was fun for all ages. The only part that was not good was the pouchy group of people who had a large group who acted like they owned the boat and restaurant and we were... More

We were told about the lake tour, B'BQue lunch and sheep shearing demonstration by some friends. We were not disappointed. The old steam ship they use is quite interesting and provided a comfortable way to get to the farm. We sat inside near the piano as the pianist kept us entertained with his songs. The Barbeque lunch was very good.... More

A water taxi ($10 ea) from the Hilton to Queenstown wharf was the best transportation option due 2 very strict DUI rules in New Zealand. qued in a long line on the wharf 2 board the evening cruise 2 Walter Peak. Once on board the TSS Earnslaw a limited selection of alcoholic beverages were available, an interesting view of the... More

The steamer took us on a lovely trip with a piano bar to entertain. The views were great. Walter Peak station was a surprise. The meal wasgood but the station was so beautiful. Flowers everywhere with a spectacular backdrop/ The sheep demo. was so good too. Really enjoyed the entire afternoon.

Have been to Queenstown a number of times and held off doing the steam boat trip as thought it would be boring. We went this time however and it was great - kids loved it and the people were really friendly and informative.

An amazing 65000 acre property that raises around 20000 sheep. A real surprise having not realised that farms of this size existed in NZ. The function area put on a meal that was awesome and put my faith back that at least one NZ food outlet could cook lamb well. It was a large function but the staff were excellent... More

Took the lunch cruise from Queenstown to Walters Peak. If you go take your appetite with you, maybe even skip breakfast as you will want to savour and enjoy this meal. Incredible BBQ lunch with the most tasty food. From the meat to the salads and vegetables through to the desserts. All fantastic. Lovely staff who are polite and seem... More

We did the station to station ride along the lake finishing at Walter peak. Lunch was an extravagant BBQ! Everything you could imagine! There was no need for dinner that night! The farm tour was good too.

everything about this experience is sublime. The journey across lake wakatipu on a working steam boat over a hundred years old is fantastic. The high country station is beautiful and dinner is without a doubt one of the best meals you will have in queenstown. Delicious and copious...you will not leave hungry. The sheep shearing and farm dog demonstrations are... More
