We rented bikes for 8 days. Cycled Round the (Eyre) Mountains and did all the Queenstown Trails including Jack's Point . Was the best deal price and service wise. The bikes were brilliant and included helmets, locks and panniers. Highly recommended.

On arrival in Queenstown we needed advice regarding an “injured” ebike, we had phoned ahead, on arrival Chris got into the job immediately and had the repair completed well before our expected timeframe. I hired a bike from Chargeabout while mine was being repaired, an excellent bike that was being well maintained.
Chargeabout is well located to connect to so many of Qtowns bike trails. Great service, a great team and great ebikes!!

We were very sorry to hear about your accident and the bike condition and we're just glad we were able to help out and get the bike back on the road as soon as possible!
We agree about location, we're spoilt for choice in regards to which route to take, but i guess that's a great problem to have! The local scenery never stops amazing us!
Hope to see you return again soon, hopefully with your fully functional bike!

I had a fabulous full day doing the entire round trip from Frankton to Arrowtown, across to Gibbston Winery, then back to Frankton. I had some reservations as my previous e-bike hire has been a bit hit and miss: but this Moustache bike was responsive, fast, well-maintained and a joy to ride. It meant I went a lot further than I intended - but even my trip (roughly 57km) only used half a battery using eco, and as I had forgotten my bike shorts, I was impressed with the comfort level. The team at Chargeabout were friendly and helpful, and I will definitely go back. Thanks team!

Our group of four did the Lake Hayes loop from the charge about shop, on ebikes. It was a sunny day but it turned out to be so cold that the ride was unenjoyable and we had to abandon the ride half way through. Much of the ride is in shade / frost - and despite taking jackets and an extra layer, our clothes were insufficient. It was a shame we didn’t get advice from the staff on taking sunnier routes or additional clothing. If you use Chargeabout make sure you ask lots of questions about the conditions and route.
The Moustache bikes were fine, except one of the bikes chains slipped and jammed making it unrideable for the last 1.5kms (we are experienced bikers and couldn’t free the chain).
All in all - a ho hum experience - we’ll be going jet boating next time.

We aim to provide as much detail as possible when people are renting our bikes from instruction, directions and trail conditions. It is very chilly in Queenstown through winter and we try to make sure this is communicated to people who are renting our bikes. We're very sorry the above wasn't communicated to you as it should have been. We'll ensure your feedback is passed on to the whole team at ChargeAbout to improve going forward.

This was our first time on electric bikes we had a fantastic time.
Charge About is in an excellent location so you can start your ride right on the lake trail. The bikes did most of the work so we could take in the views and enjoy the ride. I’d thoroughly recommend.

My wife and I bought e-bikes from Chargeabout. Really outstanding staff - Will was the main point of contact and a great guy, but the others we dealt with were equally wonderful. The bikes were presented and prepared well and the deals good. In summary it was a great experience

Wow! What a fantastic experience. My partner Dave and I trialled the bikes yesterday - half day around Jack's Point and back. The weather was awesome and the views are breathtaking. These bikes are so comfortable and so powerful. We would like to make a special call out to Zac who was so helpful to us - exceptional customer service and knowledge of Moustache bikes. These bikes are amazing. Do yourself a favour and spend time along the trail from the Hiilton Hotel (Moustache base) around Jack's Point. The views are incredible. So much fun and great exercise too. If you want to enjoy Queenstown and see the local sights by bike, this is the way to do it...who wants to go on a bike ride and feel exhausted! These e-bikes make the experience much more enjoyable and fun! I live in Queenstown and discovered new local treasures along the way. Such a great day out.
My partner and I set off from Queenstown and cycled on the route to Arrowtown stopping off at Lake Hayes estate for a nice coffee, continuing on to Lake Hayes itself, stunning scenery. We cycled our way through the Millbrook resort, and arrived at Arrowtown and charged our batteries up with not only coffee but the power supply at Provisions Cafe, Id say you need a good hour to re-charge them. We then came all the way back via the Twin Rivers route.
If you want to go to Arrowtown you will definitely a full day rental, but its so worth it! You will laugh at other cyclists on normal bikes as you make cycling on the up hills look super easy!
Huge thanks to Campbell and the staff, great product and great team!!

The Moustache bikes powered by Bosch, light ebikes and if used on eco powered you could comfortable get up to 100km. The bikes are fantastic. They provided a bag on the back for your goodies.
We biked via Millbrook/Arrowtown/onto Gibbston Tavern for lunch and back along Twin Rivers trial. The trial is reasonable sign posted, it's hot as section are exposed with no tree cover. You do require a reasonable bike handling skills to make it an enjoyable trip.

There were 6 of us that rented E-Bikes today ages 25-58 and made reservations well in advance. We took the Go Orange Ferry from Queenstown to the Hilton and dropped us off right in front of Charge About. The ferry leaves Queenstown 45 min after the hour and picks up from the Hilton 15min after the hour, $15 pp round trip. We chose the 4hour tour on the Twin Rivers trail and was just as gorgeous as the website's video and the trail was wide enough and challenging enough for even inexperienced riders. We had a fantastic time and about half way through we decided to take a side trip to Arrow Town which was an additional 5K so I called the office and he told me that it would be fine to keep the bikes an additional hour at no charge !. The bikes were easy to use and the batteries lasted for each of us for the entire 5 hours although we did recharge 2 of the batteries at the Provisions Cafe in Arrow town for about 30 min since one of the batteries was down to 2 bars. It probably would have made it back without the charge. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend Charge About to anyone who wants to get some exercise and experience the beauty of the Queenstown area in the fresh air !!

We reserved a bike thru trip advisor for Feb 27th for 2 people. What if the weather is bad and we cant do the ride. We are unable to change dates due to the fact we are leaving the area later in the day and will not be back.

Its always worth booking, just because we tend to get very busy, and if you book, we can guarantee your bikes for that day. If you just shoot us over some details (i.e heights of riders, date, name, and phone number) we can get you all booked in, and if the weather is bad, or you'd like to reschedule just give us a call the day before or in the morning and we can do our best to re-arrange. Is it suitable for 6 year old child? Share with adults?

Our super small electric-assist mountain bikes are suitable for children approximately 10 years +, but we have two great 'tag-along' options including the fun 'WeeHoo' from the USA which is a low trailer type seat with the child's own pedals to enjoy more being part of the ride. Please google 'WeeHoo trailer' and I am sure you will find it. We usually include it with a family group or $35/day if in addition to just two bikes.
