I would highly recommend visiting this shop, Stu and his staff are highly knowledgeable and even if you're not into fly fishing it's lovely to stop and chat. One of the last bastions of it's kind - a pure fly fishing shop, a jewel amongst an almost extinct species!

I am a fairly experienced fly fisherman who dropped in at Stu's fly shop to pick up a few flies. Stu's European girlfriend will try to sell you every fly in the fly shop including cicada's when there is no sign of cicadas yet in the season. She will ask you where you are going to fish and if it... More

Hi Matthew, We have a chart of the top 10 flies for each month in the shop which gives our customers an idea what to use for the local rivers in the area. Cicada's are around since the beginning of December - when it's warm and sunny. All my staff in the shop does not know who is on which... More
