There are two or three people there to help you. They have good maps. We went there three times finding various sites. They called a taxi for us. Very helpful.

A relief to find a place not trying to persuade us to spend money on a trip they are organising but purely informing us of what is available. Great leaflets, brochures and just the map we wanted of the town.

You cacn do a lot in 4 days, but as Dominic wrote including Milford Sound might be tough as it is a long ride. I definetely recommend upfront booking as well.
