A ride on the TSS Earnslaw, an old steamer, takes you across the lake, about 45 minutes each way. It is possible to go just for the ride. We booked the cruise with a dinner at the Walter Peak Station. The meal is superb -...More

I did the cruise-only which came with a glass of wine/cheese board (6pm). Was a great way to see the beautiful scenery and interesting to watch a steam vessel up close.

Great history. Do it for as long as she still floats! Trips they do are ok and well compered about facts of the lake etc.

This is the oldest steam ship in the Southern Hemisphere. The 45 minute trip across the lake offers spectacular mountain views and spending part of the day on the farm is really fun! The mulled wine on the ship is also amazing!
