Downtown Queenstown is perched upon Lake Wakatipu. The charming town surrounded by snow capped mountains and tranquil lake offer a postcard setting. Very special place indeed.

Lake Wakatipu is a stunning sight particularly in winter with the snow on the mountains for a back drop and is like a picture postcard when the Earnslaw steamboat glides into its berth

I got the opportunity to view this beautiful large blue lake during my visit. Not only is it Gorgeous you can see marine life and walk around with some bars and restaurants near by.
