Gather yourself and/or your family/friends, grab some food, something to drink (non-alcoholic), sit by the lake and take it all in. The lake is just so serene with all the mountains as the backdrop. The view never gets old no matter where you are sitting.

The waters of Lake Wakatipu are like glass, sitting on the balcony watching the boats come into the wharf is so relaxing

I took a caravan and parked at the caravan park. The evening sun down is beautiful and the sun rise is epic. They is limited food around, so better pack some snacks or food when you go there.

This is such a stunning lake - and even more so when driving down from Remarkables. Queenstown has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to - enjoy the views from all the different lookout points.

Queenstown is so beautiful. I can imagine how people fell in love with this place before the gigantic tourist explosion here. The lake, the mountains and parks are divine. However, the downer is the people. :( Just way too crammed with tourists, travel agents, food...More
